Student Printing/Copying/Scanning - OneCard debit

Student printing and copying is available in multiple locations across campus, including libraries, labs and residence hall & apartment lobbies. This service is accessed by using money from a OneCard. Students can securely release documents directly to multifunction devices via built in touch screens or via the release stations on the single function devices. Instructions on how to print/copy/scan are available at the libraries and online.

When printing from devices in libraries and labs, you just choose student secure printing and enter your access ID and password when prompted on the computer. After sending your document, go to any device and swipe your card to release and print your document. If you are printing from a laptop you can utilize any of the options below:

Student Wireless printing from a laptop & Mobile devices (4 easy ways)

1. Submit your document to the Print Queue using the Pharos Moblie App:

Android:

  • Find the free "Pharos Print" App in the Google Play store and click install to start the installation process.
  • Open the app and on the first screen enter the WSU server name SMSBAOPharos.ad.wayne.edu in the "server address" field, and 443 (if not already entered) in the "server port" field and press enter.
  • On the next screen enter your access ID and password and tap Log On.
  • The pharos app should now be displayed and you may upload your documents.

Apple:

  • Find the free "Pharos Print" Apple in the Apple store and click install.
  • At the prompt, enter your Apple ID and password, then type Get.
  • Open the app and on the first screen enter the WSU server name SMSBAOPharos.ad.wayne.edu in the "server address" field, and 443 (if not already entered) in the "server port" field and press enter.
  • On the next screen enter your access ID and password and tap Log On.
  • The pharos app should now be displayed and you may upload your documents.

2. Using My Print Center: 

Upload your documents directly to your queue using My Print Center. Click here to log into My Print Center, using your access ID and password, and upload documents to print. Then walk to any student print device and swipe your card to release the document.

3. Emailing to print@wayne.edu:

Email your document to print@wayne.edu from your WSU email address and within minutes you'll be able to print it out at any student print device. Note: Documents can only be accepted from WSU email addresses. Acceptable file formats include: PDF, Microsoft Word, Excel, Powerpoint, JPEG, TIFF and Text Files (.CSV, .RTF, .TXT). Verify that your document was sent to the queue by logging into My Print Center.

4. Downloading Print Drivers:

You must download the appropriate print drivers in order to send your print job from your laptop to a multifunction device or release station.
